HeidelbergCement to accelerate growth with the acquisition of Italcementi

HeidelbergCement AG ("HeidelbergCement") today announced that it has entered into a purchase agreement (the "Stock Purchase Agreement") with Italmobiliare S.p.A. about the acquisition of a 45% shareholding in Italcementi S.p.A. ("Italcementi"). The purchase price amounts to € 10.60 per Italcementi share. This represents a total purchase price of approximately € 1.67 billion for the 45% stake, wich will be paid in cash and up to 10.5 million HeidelbergCement shares resulting from a capital increase against contribution in kind.  The closing of the acuisition is subject to customary conditions...

New Pedestrian Crossing in Sterlitamak

The pedestrian crossing appeared at one of the busiest and rather dangerous bit of the road at Chernororskaya Street. The new crossing is a present of HeidelbergCement to the city and its citizens. The crossing meets the highest safety requirements and complies with GOST. The crossing stripes are highlighted with photodiode lightning, installed above the road. It helps to drivers to notice pedestrians even at night time and in a bad weather conditions. The surrounding area was improved as well. Excursion for the Students of Tula State University

The excursion for the students of Tula State University took place at Gurovo-Beton, HeidelbergCement plant at Novogurovsky and Grazing Project area on July 8th, 2015. The excursion started with the quarry visit where students were told more about aspects of limestone extraction and characteristics of the quarry itself. Following the production steps, they went next to the plant where they learnt in details about further production steps of raw materials transformation into clinker and eventually into cement.
